A Place to Heal and Recover

The Recovery Village opens its doors officially in March 2025. We are excited for the beginning of this much-needed development featuring three large buildings and eventually a neighborhood of residences for people in early recovery. The Village will open with two buildings dedicated to serving men (one which is fully designated for justice-involved males, ensuring we can provide tailored support for anyone in this population), and another building dedicated to serving women (which will include both justice and non-justice residents).

Eventually the Village will include a 200+ housing unit covenant-based neighborhood that will provide affordable housing to individuals in early recovery in a community-based neighborhood setting. The Village will also have community building that will allow for fellowship gatherings, education and training, and community collaboration all in one place. The Village will be transformational to the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and the country. It will also help hundreds of individuals and their families live together around the shared value of recovery.

The blueprint for the Recovery Village

The Recovery Village has obtained WVARR-certification (currently Level 2) and will offer a wide range of peer support services and programs. Each building will be staffed with two residential house managers who live on-site and provide a stable, structured, and supportive environment for residents as they work toward reintegration into society.

Key services and features of the Recovery Village include:

  • Safe housing and a structured environment
  • Transportation to employment and community recovery groups
  • Partnerships with community agencies to provide Life Skills Education programs

Day-to-day operations will be overseen by a Licensed Social Worker to ensure comprehensive support for residents.
